DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Prime Minister Dr. Adel Safar on Monday instructed public bodies to work to reduce expenditure by 25% of the value of budget allocations for 2012.

These reductions cover fuel expenditures, maintenance, stationary, newspaper and magazine subscription, work benefits, bonuses, transport expenses, advertizing and public relations.

This step is part of the government's program to reduce squandering and ensure the optimal use of expenditure.
