DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) affirmed that the division and fragmentation that some Arab sides attempted to propagate in Syria failed thanks to the awareness of the Syrian people and their solidarity and confidence in their leadership.
In a statement marking the US army's exiting from Iraq, the SSNP said that the United States is responsible for what is happening in Syria, which aims at punishing it for its stances regarding Iraq and eliminating its support for the resistance.

Damascus, (SANA) – Patriarch Ignatius IV Hazim of Antioch and All the East for the Greek Orthodox, Patriarch Mar Ignatius Zakka I Iwas of Antioch an All the East for the Syriac Orthodox, and Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Roman Catholics, Gregory III Laham, stressed on Thursday their rejection of all forms of foreign interference and violence, calling for lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria.

The participants expressed gratitude for the sacrifices of the Syrian army to defend the homeland's security, safety and unity.
The crowds burned an Israeli flag with logos of some of the instigative satellite channels which are participating in shedding the Syrian blood through fabricating news and falsifying facts about what is really taking place in Syria.
The citizens, responding to an invitation presented by the youth of "Lovers of Syria campaign", expressed readiness to sacrifice their lives for the sake of defending Syria's dignity, stressing that the AL and western countries' pressures won't deviate Syria from its pan-Arab and national stances.

Speaking at Christmas and Patriotism Prayer held on Tuesday evening at al-Zaitoun Church, His Beatitude said the Syrians are able to resolve their problems and differences by themselves in their civilized manner known throughout history.
"We are working for accord, co-existence and human respect and acceptance of others," added Patriarch Laham at the Prayer held for the sake of Syria and its people, which witnessed the participation of heads of the Christian churches in Syria.
"Every Syrian blood is valuable and precious to God," said the Patriarch in particular reference to the victims who fell in the events and all those who are in pain and sorrow.
He pointed out that the Syrian Church stands by Syria for it to remain strong, united, steadfast and stable.
For His part, Mar Ignatius, the Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, prayed to God to unite the Syrians in amity which surpasses all differences, voicing confidence in the Syrians' ability to emerge from the crisis with united hearts and intertwined hands to give the world a model of civilized co-existence.
