DAMASCUS, (SANA)- A delegation representing the Syrian and Iraqi clans and tribes on Wednesday visited the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus to express support to Syria in the face of the economic sanctions imposed by Arabs and West.
During the visit, elders and clansmen of the Iraqi and Syrian clans and tribes reiterated their support for the Syrian people in facing the conspiracies hatched against their homeland.
Chairman of the National Association of the Displaced Iraqis, Shaikh al-Murtaja al-Kaabi, said that the Iraqi clans delegation came from all Iraqi cities and governorates to voice solidarity with the Syrian people, stressing Iraq's rejection of any foreign interference or aggression against Syria.
For his part, Shaikh of al-Na'im Tribe, Muhammad Kheir Bin Jassem al-Nader ,said "Syria and Iraq are one country .. Iraq's stances regarding what is taking place in Syria is honorable," stressing that Iraq will support Syria in the face of all conspiracies.

Damascus, (SANA) – Patriarch Ignatius IV Hazim of Antioch and All the East for the Greek Orthodox, Patriarch Mar Ignatius Zakka I Iwas of Antioch an All the East for the Syriac Orthodox, and Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Roman Catholics, Gregory III Laham, stressed on Thursday their rejection of all forms of foreign interference and violence, calling for lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria.
