HAMA, (SANA)- The competent authorities in Hama Province on Thursday discovered a two-floor deserted house used by armed terrorist group in al-Hamidiya Neighborhood.
The authorities found big amounts of electronic devices, machine-guns, bombs, explosive devices and Molotov bombs used by the armed groups in committing their criminal acts which target the security of the homeland.

DAMSCUS, (SANA) – Criminal Security Branch in Damascus Countryside on Wednesday arrested a group of criminals charged with stealing cars by force impersonating security officers, in addition to other charges of committing different crimes.
In his confessions broadcast by the Syrian TV, the 30-year old armed man, Samer al-Bakri, confessed to stealing cars impersonating a security officer with three other people.
Al-Bakri added that they bought military uniforms, a gun and a pistol to use them in their operations and spent the stolen money on nightlife and other pleasures.
He said that he participated with Hussein al-Shahoud, Hussein al-Ali and Ahmad al-Homam in seven operations and stole taxis, Mercedes cargo van, a car loaded with flour and another one loaded with meat on Homs-Damascus highway, in addition to taking taxis till they reach Maaloula Bridge, threatening the drivers and stealing their cars, mobiles and money.
Al-Bakri confessed to selling the stolen cars and mobiles in Hama governorate via a man called Abu Fawaz.
For his part, Hussein al-Ali, a farmer, said that he participated in three operations on Damascus – Homs highway.
He added that they blocked the way of a Kia Rio car and a green van loaded with spare parts impersonating as a security patrol where they stole the cars and the money found with their drivers.
"We stopped a car loaded with meat and stole the money from its driver," said al-Ali, adding that we also stole a Verna Taxi on Homs road.
In turn, Ahmad al-Homam, 32 years old from Kafr Roma in Idlib, confessed that he and Hussein al-Alli stole a taxi near Maaloula and sold it in Idlib.

Idlib, (SANA)-Muhammad Deib Jamal Shaaban narrated stories about acts of killing and kidnapping perpetrated by armed terrorist groups in Idlib, including the crime of assassinating son of Syria's Grand Mufti, the Martyr Sarya Hassoun.
Shaaban told the Syrian TV in an interview broadcast Thursday that he was working in the company of Syria Mega Azoz, then he joined a terrorist group in his village that comprised a number of his cousins and friends to perpetrate acts of looting, killing and kidnapping.
"I took part along with the group in killing a person from al-Shalkhi family and another person from Mutlak family. At 12.30 p.m. I was in al-Mashrou region while the group members were sitting near a roadblock that we set up in the area.. leader of the group Basem Shaaban asked him to remain at the roadblock and they went by car…," Shaaban said.
He added "after an hour and a half, the group which included Ahmad Shaaban, Hussein Shaaban, Adham Iz, Abdallah al-Khateeb, yousef al-Akhim and Muhammad Khaled al-Akhim, returned with an injured person called Yossef." Shaaban said that members of the group met once again and went to abduct Mr. Rafik al-Mudalal with his son.
They took him to a farm, tortured and killed him. "Several days later, I found Hussein and Muhammad Muaed al-Tahan and his brother Yassar, and Hassan al-Tahan sitting near my house. Shaaban added that members of the armed group went to the university and waited for Sarya's car to come. Once it arrived, Muhammad Mouaiad al-Tahan got off the car and killed him and his counsin killed sarya's companion and then they ran away.
He said that the armed group asked him to observe the owner of the factory he worked at, adding that he told them about the car his employer had and his work schedule.
"When I asked them why they want to know about the man, they told me that they wanted to assassinate him. The following day I was arrested," he concluded.

Syria is deploying the "Bastion" advanced missile system along its coast. There had been uncertainty over the contract to supply Syria with Russia's advanced mobile coastal defence system L-300P "Bastion" carrying "Yakhont" missiles. Few people believed in the possibility of supplying Damascus with these weapons after the launch of the "reset" between Russia and the U.S. in 2009 because the move could really upset the balance of power in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The U.S. and Israel have always been the main opponents of weapon deals between Russia and Syria, but their respective reactions to the supply of the "Bastion" system to Syria were different. When the U.S. traditionally expressed its indignation over the deal, Israel's reaction was almost unnoticeable except some general statements made by the Israeli foreign ministry, even though Israel should be the first to worry about upgrades in Syria's defence capability.
But, there was a reason for Israel's sluggish response to the supply of the "Bastion" system to Syria. It's related to the balance of power between Tel Aviv and Damascus, as well as the current situation in the region.
The outcome of a possible conflict between Israel and Syria would be mainly decided in the air and on the land. In this scenario, naval supremacy would be of secondary importance because regardless of Syria's hypothetical successes in attacks on the Israeli navy, they would do nothing to influence the out come. .
For Israel, the threat posed by Syria's Air Force, Ground Forces and air defence systems is seen as more significant. Consequently, the supply to Syria of air defence systems, fighter jets, advance armoured vehicles and weaponry for the ground forces is a cause for a greater worry for Israel. Particularly as there is a considerable chance that military equipment and the weaponry intended for the ground forces might fall into the hands of terrorists. This particularly applies to such weapons as shoulder fired anti-aircraft and antitank missiles, light armoured vehicles and firearms.
Theoretically, under the guise of terrorists Syrians themselves could launch attacks on Israel from the regions controlled by Syria. But one should note that in the current situation, Syria does not need any conflicts with Israel.
Why has Syria bought the "Bastion" system? Whose ships will be targeted by the "Yakhont" missiles? There is a clear answer to these questions: it's the Turkish navy.
