DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Member of the Presidency Council of the Popular Will Party, Dr. Qadri Jamil, on Sunday stressed the necessity of preserving the independence of national decision, rejection of foreign interference in Syria's internal affairs and taking the appropriate measures to develop the socioeconomic system of the country.

During a press conference of the Party, Dr. Jamil said the Syrians are able to resolve their problems by themselves, affirming the Party's rejection of all forms of foreign interference or work with any forces calling for such interference .

He indicated that during his visit to Moscow among a delegation of the national opposition to meet the Russian government, he highlighted the need to work to prevent foreign interference in Syria.

For his part, Alaa Arafat, a member of the Party's Presidency Council, underscored the importance of the youth's participation in the political activities and the leading positions, considering this "a national necessity made inevitable by the requirements of the current stage".

He called for preserving the policy of resistance to liberate the occupied territories, being one of the Syrian people's demands, and moving toward economic and social directions that reflect a new economic pattern to guarantee the highest level of social equality.

Other members stressed that the Party's policy is based on total cutoff with the policies of Imperialism and Zionism, underlining the importance of activating the vital and active forces in society to face the risk of foreign interference, as well as protecting national unity and discard sedition and chaos.
