Many respondent to a Press TV survey believe that if implemented, reforms promised by Syria' President Bashar al-Assad will normalized the country's situation.
Thirty eight percent of the 18,813 participants said the situation in Syria will be normalized with the reforms that Asssad's government has promised.
A total of 34 percent, however, believe that recent unrest in Syria will plunge the country into civil war.
This is while 13 percent of the respondents agreed said Turkey will engage in military intervention in Syria with Washington's support.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March, with demonstrations being held both against and in favor of President Assad. Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed in the turmoil.
While the opposition and Western countries accuse Syrian security forces of being behind the killings, Damascus blames outlaws, saboteurs and armed terrorist groups for the deadly violence, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.

They held the national flag and banners expressing determination to stand in the face of whoever tries to undermine the homeland, and to achieve a future that guarantees a dignified life for all the Syrians through the comprehensive reforms which have been announced.
The participants also greeted the Syrian Arab Army for its sacrifices and its role in defending the motherland, denouncing the acts of killing and sabotage perpetrated by the armed terrorist groups which are backed by foreign bodies with the aim of destabilizing the security and stability in Syria and to divert it from its national and pan-Arab principled stances.

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (SANA)_Metropolitan Attallah Hanna, Archbishop of Sevastia of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, said that the conspiracy against Syria targets its stances and national and pan-Arab role, as well as its support to Arab rights and the Palestinian cause.
In an interview with al-Manar TV on Saturday, Metropolitan Hanna said that there is systematic sabotage of the Syrian state taking place, adding that part of the Syrian opposition is conspiring against Syria.
''We stand by the Syrian people and consider that the conspiracy does not only target the political regime solely but the state with all its components in order to undermine it for the colonial projects in the region to pass,'' Metropolitan Hanna said.
Metropolitan Hanna underlined the importance of national dialogue which leads to reform, calling upon the Syrians to stand united against the conspirators who seek to undermine Syria.
He added that Syria has always been a model for national unity, indicating that the so-called Arab Spring is but a new Sykes-Picot project to fragmentize the region.

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) affirmed that the division and fragmentation that some Arab sides attempted to propagate in Syria failed thanks to the awareness of the Syrian people and their solidarity and confidence in their leadership.
In a statement marking the US army's exiting from Iraq, the SSNP said that the United States is responsible for what is happening in Syria, which aims at punishing it for its stances regarding Iraq and eliminating its support for the resistance.
The statement called on the Iraqi people to continue working to restore fraternity and open-minded popular interaction, adding that the Iraqi state now has even bigger responsibilities to shoulder as the seeds of sectarianism and ethnic disputes sown during the eight years of invasion requires tremendous efforts to remove.
The SSNP concluded by congratulating the Iraqi people and lauding Iraq's free, independent stance in support of Syria.
