MOSCOW, (SANA) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated that his country will not support any UN Security Council draft resolution submitted by the Western countries against Syria.
In an interview with Russia 24 news channel on Tuesday, Lavrov said "The US and the EU imposed unilateral sanctions without holding any consultations with us and now they want us to agree to their course too," adding that their act contradicts with the principle of partnership, as it also does not include any constructive thing.
He referred to radical opposition forces, mostly outside Syria, which have rejected the leadership's invitation to participate in the national dialogue and are betting on escalating the confrontation to culminate to international intervention.
