ANKARA, (SANA) – Dozens of Turkish citizens on Wednesday stressed their rejection of their government's escalating stance against Syria.
The Turkish citizens considered that their government's stance serves the U.S.A and Israel instead of contributing to boosting security and stability in the region.
In an interview with the Syrian TV correspondent in Ankara, Chairman of the Syria-Turkey Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group said the Syrian and Turkish people have to remain close friends, stressing that any foreign intervention in Syria by the NATO or the UN will affect Turkey as it affects Syria.
One of the Turkish citizens said that he felt ashamed of the Turkish stance towards events in Syria, describing what is happening on the ground as a different kind of war in the Middle East.
Another citizen said that he cannot accept foreign interference in the affairs of other countries as he cannot accept any country to interfere in Turkey's internal affairs.
The Turks condemned the political statements made by their government, adding that they reveal some kind of connection with foreign systems that control the government's way in dealing with the Syrian crisis, hoping that stability and security will prevail in Syria.

Syria has been experiencing deadly unrest since mid-March, with demonstrations being held both against and in support of Assad's government.
According to the United Nations, over 3,500 people -- including hundreds of Army personnel members and members of the security forces -- have been killed in the ongoing violence. The Syrian government blames the unrest on armed terrorists funded by elements from outside the country.
Syrian state TV has broadcast reports showing seized weapons caches and confessions by terrorists describing how they obtained weapons from foreign sources.
Since the beginning of the unrest, however, the United States and the European Union have imposed severe sanctions on Damascus over alleged application of violence against anti-government protesters.

AMMAN, (SANA)- Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government's spokesman, Rakan al-Majali, on Thursday said that arms smuggling operations took place from Jordan into Syria, noting that his country is working to stop this.
He added in press statements that the incident which happened in the Jordanian northern city of al-Ramtha is evidence that smuggling of arms into Syria took place, pointing out that this incident was not the only one.
"We, in the Jordanian government, are concerned to be conscious of this issue," said al-Majali, stressing his country's rejection of allowing smuggling arms into Syria.
