Iran denied on Friday that a shipment of imported crude oil from Syria, or it sold oil futures contracts to Greece.

The agency said "mahr" semi-official, Assistant Minister of Oil, "Ahmad Fort Builder" denied reports by some Western media of Iran has imported a shipment of crude oil from Syria.

The official Iranian news that Iran is buying a shipment of crude oil, the Syrian "has no basis in truth."

He added: "The National Iranian Oil Company has not imported at all of any shipment of crude oil, the Syrian."

The United States and the European Union imposed unilateral sanctions on the Syrian oil industry led to the obstruction of the Syrian exports of crude oil.

The Syria's production of crude oil is now about 350 thousand barrels per day, one third is exported to international markets.
