Damascus, (SANA) -
President Bashar al-Assad today, Decree No. 391 of 2011, the judge identified on Monday by 12 December 2011, the date for the election of members of local councils.
As provided in Article II that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.
The following is the text of the decree:

President of the Republic
Based on the provisions of the Local Administration Act promulgated by Legislative Decree No. 107 Date 23/08/2011 M and Decree No. (101) Date 03.08.2011 containing the general election law, particularly article VIII.
Draw the following
Article (1):
Sets on Monday to 12 December 2011, the date for the election of members of local councils.
Article (2):
This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.
