Chaired by Dr. Adel Safar, Chairman of the Council of Ministers meeting today during which they discussed the actions taken at the level of completion of technical studies and project-related technical smart card multi applications and fields of applications and issuance requirements.

It was decided at the meeting approved the launch of the smart card in accordance with schedules compatible with the purpose of using this card and coordination between the Ministries of Communications and Technology and the Interior to follow the necessary procedures to start it in 2012 and phased manner responsive to the needs of some other ministries.

Participated in the meeting of Ministers of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the local administration, communication and technology, interior, finance, economy and trade, transportation, and the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Chief of Planning and International Cooperation and a number of general managers.
