BEIRUT, (SANA) – The Lebanese Army intelligence arrested a Lebanese man attempting to smuggle firearms into Syria, confiscating a shipment of weapons.
During interrogation, the man admitted to coordinating with his brother who was waiting to receive the weapons on the other side of the borders with Syria.

TARTOUS, (SANA) – Aljazeera Channel exploited a murder of a person who was stabbed by his neighbor in the coastal province of Tartous yesterday because of a personal dispute, alleging that he was a victim of security members.
Somar Ali Hassan's family said the victim was killed after his neighbor Ahmad Ibrahim stabbed him in the neck, refuting Aljazeera allegations which rushed to accuse the security forces of the crime in another attempt to stir the situation in the country.
Ali Hassan, the victim's father, said "I had a presentiment that the lying channels will make use of my son's murder just like many similar incidents to sow sedition among the Syrians …I reaffirm that Somar was killed at the hand of a neighbor of ours.
"Stop disrespecting our feelings, "the father said, addressing the provocative media channels.
Mr. Hassan also urged to sue these channels for not respecting people's feelings and making use of the dead to reach their sordid goals.
"The crime of Hassan is known to all in Tartous Province and there is no doubt that the murderer is his neighbor ,Ahmad Ibrahim, who stabbed him in the neck and what has been broadcast by Aljazeera is part of its media and psychological war launched by foreign powers to undermine Syria," Tartous Governor Attef Naddaf said.
An official police source in the coastal province said it took few hours to reveal the identity of the criminal, as Ahmad Ibrahim admitted committing the crime because of personal dispute with Somar Hassan.

BEIRUT: The Syrian army blocked the Beirut-Damascus international highway on the Syrian side of the border Saturday, media reports said.
The army did not cross into Lebanon, security sources confirmed to The Daily Star.
"No Syrian solider has entered Lebanese territory," high-ranking sources said, after Al-Jazeera reported that the Syrian army had blocked the international highway.
Lebanese who usually drive through the highway to reach Syria confirmed to The Daily Star that they were not able to use the road, which is situated east of the northern Lebanese village of Ksayr.
