President al-Assad: Coordination between Syrian and Lebanese Armies Foiled Several Weapons Smuggling Attempts

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – President Bashar al-Assad on Monday discussed with the Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn cooperation and coordination between the Syrian and the Lebanese armies.
President al-Assad expressed appreciation of the Lebanese Army's great efforts in coordination with the Syrian counterpart to monitor the borders between the two countries which helped foil several weapons smuggling attempts targeting the two countries' stability and security.

Distortion of President's remarks on Syria by US media protested
Tehran, Sept 12, IRNA -- Presidential office in a statement on Monday condemned the distortion of Iranian President's remarks on Syria and the need to resolve the Syrian political crisis.
The arrogant powers media backing Tel Aviv regime, trying to sabotage the brotherly relations between Iran and Syria, distorted Iranian president's speech in his meeting with Kuwaiti media man, the presidential office statement said.
