Damascus, (SANA) -
President Bashar al-Assad today, Presidential Decree No. 33 which provides for the establishment of the National Committee to prepare a draft constitution for the Syrian Arab Republic in preparation for approval in accordance with the constitutional rules that the Committee complete its work within a period not exceeding four months from the date of issuance of this decision.
The right of the Commission may seek the assistance of appropriate expertise to accomplish its mission.
The Committee consists of the following gentlemen:

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The Ministry of Economy and Trade on Friday affirmed that there is no delay in carrying out the Cabinet's decision to allow licensed banks to finance imports.
The Ministry said that a decision was issued on the day after the Cabinet's decision allowing banks to finance the private and shared sectors' imports for items with 1% customs fees and bellow along with 75 other items.
The Ministry also issued instructions to return to the regulations prior to the decision for suspending imports of items with customs fees exceeding 5%, noting that the Central Bank of Syria should issue the executive instructions for carrying out the first article of the decision to allow licensed banks to finance imports.
