Amman - Jordan's main opposition group, the Muslim Brotherhood, on Saturday accused the government of being behind an attack on a tribal pro-reform rally, north of Amman, which left several injured.
'The barbaric attack is masterminded by official bodies or quarters hostile to reform,' the Brotherhood's spokesman Jamil Abu Bakr said in a statement.
Activists said that several people were hurt when unknown assailants - believed to be government loyalists - used firearms, stones and sticks to disperse a rally organized by four tribes at the village of Salhoub, 20 kilometres north of Amman.
The rally was organized to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit's government and the dissolution of parliament for failing to carry out necessary political reform, participants said.
'The attack is a dangerous gesture because it seeks to push the reform movements into an unacceptable collision with the community,' Abu Bakr said.
'We emphasise that such moves will only lead to more determination on the part of reform forces ... to achieve their goals,' he added.
Meanwhile, Bakhit warned that the government would deal 'firmly' with all those who exploit what he termed the atmosphere of democracy in the country.
The prime minister was speaking during a cabinet meeting about a series of road closures and sit-ins across in the last three days, over demands for new municipalities to be drawn up ahead of municipal elections set for December 27.
Bakhit described the municipal polls as 'the first stage of the country's comprehensive reform process,' following the revision of the constitution.

Today hundreds of protesters gathered front of the American embassy in Amman in the same time as many other protesters started around the world in over then 90 countries. Against imperialism and corruption, protesters blamed American for being the reason of wars and that it's The head of the snake as they say.
The protest wasn't entirely directed at America, chants reached the Jordanian regime itself and protesters were clearly threatening to over throw the regime if no real reforms take place. Since the protesters around the world started in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street that is taking place in New York since a month signs were lifted saying " In Solidarity with Occupy Wall Street ", also other signs telling that Obama is a zionest and so on. Pictures of Sadam Hussein were also present at the protest. A guy wearing the Anonymous Mask captured attention of Journalists and everyone at the protest.

In a new poll from Investors Business Daily on October 10th, a majority of Americans are now against President Obama's re-election for a second term in 2012.
By 51%-41%, respondents in October picked "someone new deserves a chance" over Obama "deserves to be re-elected."
Half of Americans give Obama poor or unacceptable marks in creating jobs and economic growth vs. 24% who say he's doing well.

Sometimes you wonder if President Obama picked the wrong career. Increasingly, it seems he is not good at and doesn't enjoy his chosen profession.
The Post's piece by Scott Wilson on Obama ("The loner president") puts some reporting meat on the view of many observers that Obama is aloof, solitary and uninterested in politics. He writes: "Beyond the economy, the wars and the polls, President Obama has a problem: people. This president endures with little joy the small talk and back-slapping of retail politics, rarely spends more than a few minutes on a rope line, refuses to coddle even his biggest donors.
