Said Marina Sabronova professor at the Institute of International Relations in Moscow and an expert on the Middle East in an interview with "Russia Today" Monday October 17 that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had agreed, before the announcement of the formation of a committee drafting the new constitution, to make too many concessions to the opposition such as the abolition of the state of emergency and the announcement of economic reforms, and others.

For a period of four months, Sabronova considered that the Constitution of any country is a basic law, it identifies the political structure of society and the proportionality between the various authorities and society, as well as domestic policy. This is very important for Syria, because the Constitution is one of the oldest Arab constitutions, which has not been amended even once during this period that the specific wording, so the time limit is very short, in her opinion.

And on the development of events on the ground in Syria, the Russian expert said it is "difficult to trust the media fully which have been sheding light on the events in Syria. And the deterioration of the political situation is possible, especially that Syria, a complex composition, sectarian and ethnic nationalism."

In addition, there are splits within the opposition, which does not have a clear vision of the means of development of the Syrian community in the future.

Marina Sabronova noted that part of the Syrian opposition has taken a tough stance of Bashar al-Assad. They do not agree except for his departure.
