Le Pen criticized mislead the French media against Syria

Paris, (SANA) -

Denounced the Honorary President of the National Front in France, Jean-Marie Le Pen, the false propaganda carried out by the French media about the events in Syria.

He criticized Le Pen in an interview on the website of the French National Front on the Internet and the French media for not covering the march that took place last Wednesday in Damascus in an objective way.

Le Pen said: We saw huge crowds shouted for President Bashar al-Assad, but the French media translated into tens of thousands, those numbers only.

Le Pen denounced those who want to sabotage Syria, describing Syria as a legitimate government in its war against the armed gangs that want to seize power.

WMR has been informed by reliable sources that the U.S. ambassador to Syria, Robert S. Ford, is the key State Department official who has been responsible for recruiting Arab "death squads" from Al Qaeda-affiliated units in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, and Chechnya to fight against Syrian military and police forces in embattled Syria. Ford served as the Political Officer at the U.S. embassy in Baghdad from 2004 to 2006 under Ambassador John Negroponte, the U.S. ambassador to Honduras from 1981 to 1985. Negroponte was a key figure in the covert U.S. program to arm the Nicaraguan contras and his support for vicious paramilitary units in El Salvador and Honduras earned him the nickname of "Mr. Death Squad."

Ministry of Economy, WIPO Agree on Translating Nice Agreement into Arabic

DAMASCUS, (SANA) - During the meetings of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Ministry of Economy and Trade has agreed with the WIPO on translating Nice Agreement (International Classification of Goods and Services) into Arabic.

This is the first time Syria carries out such a huge and significant project of the WIPO as the translation will be adopted in all the Arab countries taking into consideration the differences between them, according to the Director of Commercial and Industrial Property Protection Department at the Ministry of Economy and Trade Jamil al-Asa'ad.

According to what was agreed upon, the WIPO will indicate on its website to the Syrian efforts exerted in this project.

Syria and the WIPO also agreed on establishing the Intellectual Property Academy in Syria in cooperation with the bodies concerned, in addition to training its cadre at the WIPO headquarters.

Ten persons will be also dispatched to train on teaching property courses in Geneva.

Asa'ad expected that the academy will be established by the beginning of 2012.
