Hosted the program "a modern day" Faisal Mikdadi, Syria's Deputy Foreign Minister, who spoke about the current situation in his country and the efforts of the Syrian leadership and its implications for the future of Syria and its position on the international level. And answered questions from our representative Miqdad:

According to reports by human rights organization, there are more than 3,000 protesters were killed in Syria since the protests began last March - some wonder - how long to continue the leadership of Syria Badhad people?

I think the question should be the very opposite: What happens in Syria? Some government and international organizations have lost credibility ... It looks at the facts with one eye and not see what is really happening - these organizations listen to the rumors here and there that talk about the figures misleading - did not say any of those organizations that Syria lost the thousand and one hundred and fifty a component of the army and security forces - Do you think that this is the approach right - certainly not - yes, many of them civilians, were killed and murdered, but the question is who killed and murdered those civilians? That many of the criminals who have fallen into the hands of security forces have acknowledged that they are used to kill and kill civilians in order to keep the protests going - some of them even admitted that they kill civilians so they can keep the buildings is legal because they are not able to break the law if they were not there demonstrations and protests - these are the real reasons - our part we believe that the killing of one person is sad, therefore, and in order to meet these challenges, the government has the development of an independent judicial committee mission to investigate murder cases and to identify the reasons for the killing of civilians, and here we assure you that any person responsible for killing civilians by any party will be brought to justice.

I said that one person's life is important, but clashes persist - you can say that Syria is on the brink of civil war?

No - but those who are setting the fire of those events are those who want to enter Syria in the mill civil war, but social cohesion, the Syrian and Syrian history precludes that - we have the monotheistic religions of the three major in Syria, and each and every one of these religions, there are various denominations - but the spark events are those who want a civil war - and we have identified these people and I can call them now: radical Islamists and Salafis and Pushers and Smugglers has been providing them with the latest communications technology from third parties - as well as the funding of terrorism and terrorists - millions of dollars were smuggled into Syria in addition to weapons and equipment from neighboring countries from Turkey, Lebanon, Iraq and other countries - and the goal is to destabilize the peace and stability in Syria.

Can it be said that the opposition is made up entirely of Islamists and there is currently no civilians are struggling to secure a better life?

Certainly both - we have internal opposition - the Syrian leadership take into account the views of the opposition and we will work with them to build new Syria.

We know that your government conducted dialogue with the opposition parties were to meet some of their applications actually - but you cannot neglect the fact that for uprisings in Syria against the backdrop of uprisings that have occurred and occur in the region did not believe the one that Mubarak's regime will collapse and the Ben Ali no one thought that a force Gaddafi is that much - all that would rear for you to consider Syria a different case - the events are taking place simultaneously - Do you think that similar events can get you in Syria?

To be frank - we admit mistakes and also recognize that the reform process did not start as expected. These facts must accept it, but what we did not expect was the evolution of events like this violent - and this contrasts with the nature and spirit of the Syrian people and contrasts well with the fact that the reforms announced by President al-Assad - Let us take examples from other countries - Egypt - for example - why do we have there - the system is supported entirely by the United States and Western systems - and billions of dollars spent by the U.S. annually to silence the Egyptian people to the policy of the Egyptian regime at the time - and the same thing applies to Tunisia - in Syria 'status different - we are aware that there are mistakes and recognize the need for adjustments and reforms, but the reforms did not start - why.? When he came President Assad to power in 2000 came the program of reforms, integrated - but the U.S. occupation of Iraq in 2003 and they had the intention of the occupation of Syria - these are not secrets, and everyone knows - and in 2005 again, we want to initiate a program of reforms and but once we started planning until the assassination of Prime Lebanese Prime Minister, direct, and after ten minutes of his death were accused Syria of being behind the assassination - and we had to defend the independence of Syria's case was transferred to the international forum - the time I was Syria's ambassador to the UN Security Council - and intimately involved in this case for 2 to 3 years - with the imposition of sanctions on Syria and the isolation of Syria and the many problems that were exposed - and after all, they discovered that Syria has nothing to do with the assassination and that there is another group is Almsoalh for the assassination - but we have suffered what we suffered - and delayed reforms again - now - I'm sure that your next what reforms will be made by President Assad and the extent of our progress in implementing reforms.

We know that social networking played an active role in Egypt - What is the role they play in Syria?

Played a big role too - have seized several mobile phones from the cars of some diplomatic missions in Syria - and by the way - before the development of events, there were restrictions imposed on the Internet, but President Assad ordered the lifting of these restrictions and people started using the Web freely, although misuse - but The government did not put any restrictions on them.

Long conflict between the ruling Alawite minority and majority Sunni Do you think that this neglect of the majority has contributed in some way in the uprising?

This question is very serious, we do not think about the logic of the majority and minority in Syria, because this may cause tearing the country - some forces have played on it and used it against the interests of the people - when the president of the majority in the leadership will say that the majority oppress the minority, when there is a head from the minority say that the majority oppresses the minority - and this is a very dirty game they play on behalf of the Western powers, the name of human rights and democracy - is not the right of any person to be president, regardless of being a minority or majority? This is a crime and we also believe in Syria are not talking about an absolute majority or minority - All in Syria has the right to be president or prime minister - Did you know that the first Prime Minister of Syria was in the range of Orthodox Christians - What's wrong with that? Now trying to mislead the Syrian people and world public opinion by talking about some issues that aim from behind the division of Syria and the division of the Syrian people - and here we disagree on Egypt and Tunisia - here we have a political system that works to protect the sovereignty and independence of Syria and we are proud to do so - - the Unlike Egypt and Tunisia, where the two systems politicians are currently run and revolve entirely on U.S. interests - we are here we are exposed to attack a strong rejection of U.S. policies in the region seeking to subdue the region in full support of Israel by weakening regulations, as well as through subjecting people Filsatini to have Israel live well-off.

Bashar al-Assad had threatened to strike Israel, as Syria was attacked by NATO forces - Why involve Israel, which is not a member of NATO?

Both .. No - this is not true at all. Do not want to use what is happening in Syria as a bargaining chip on other issues - President Assad would not do this directly when fired these rumors stated authoritative source, that Syria is a distinction between what is happening internally and between the Arab-Israeli conflict - we have a mechanism for dealing with internal events - and the issue of Israeli occupation of our lands. and the Palestinian territories is a different issue altogether. We are not a strategic link between Alqdatien We know that the issue of Altoisanat in the Middle East, a very sensitive issue, but when Israel threaten us we will defend ourselves.

Let's talk a little about NATO - you know that NATO has a policy intervention in the comic in some countries without the other why do you think they will not interfere in Syria?

At present, They cannot touch Syria - that if they were aware that going to Syria is easy, they would have done that - cannot do that because the whole region against intervention in Syria - either when they went to Libya under the pretext of human rights and the defense of Libyans - I believe that Gaddafi if He lived another hundred years, not to kill a small portion of people who were killed by NATO's attacks - 50 thousand people died at the hands of NATO forces and we believe they should be subject to international justice for their crimes. We do not Naktd that NATO could intervene in Syria because the peoples of the region will not accept it first, and secondly we have our friends in the international community - If the NATO thinks he has a green card to conquer the world, it will do, but there are countries stand against interference in the internal affairs of the Syrian strongly, such as Russia Federation and China, India and South Africa, Brazil and others. They cannot currently do so, despite their attempts to obtain a decision from the Security Council Walken Russian veto had prevented it.

Do you think that Russia and China support the policies of Syria?

Both for I cannot say that Russia and China support the policies of our country - I had a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and talked a lot about how to work together to avoid such a situation - and to develop policies and initiate reforms - we do not want to put our friends the Russians and Chinese in the position of having them taken tough decisions - This is not our approach at all - but when NATO decides to invade any country at any time he wants - what is the benefit of the UN Security Council authorization - Is the decision to endorse the invasion? Certainly not - we Naktd he was not there in Syria or Libya any threat to the international community, therefore, Russia, China and other countries in the Council now announced its rejection of the way criminal by the NATO implementation of UN Security Council Resolution No. 1973 - so we do not believe that Russia is in the interest of Syria only, but in the interest of world peace and stability as well as the interests of Russia itself as a superpower Pacific is seeking to achieve peace and stability in the world - if they managed to those of States of undermining stability and peace in the Middle East - it Ststay certainly undercut the rest of the world - and now we see these countries share spoils of war with each other - so we believe that Russia, China and the rest of the other countries in the interest of peace and stability in the whole world.

It is clear that the events in Syria affected roles of Foreign Affairs - Turkey, for example they want to become a protector of the Sunnis, who represent the heart of the Syrian opposition, as it provides support to the Syrian National Council - Do not you see this double standard?

We have opened the doors to Turkey's rapprochement with the countries of the region and turn pages Date of relations with her after the initiative of President Bashar al-in fact - but if the Turkish government continues to pursue its policy in the manner of imperialism and in accordance with the regulations Ottoman - they committed a big mistake against Turkey and against Turkish positions in the region - told them they protectors of the year in the world and I think that the Sunnis are suffering in other countries more than Syria - I am a Sunni, although I do not accept at all the logic of these labels - I am human and a Muslim - do not distinguish between Mlessm Sunni or Shiite - all of us are Muslims but we are in Syria live in a secular state - We Anrkz on these things - we have in Syria also said Jews and Christians and those who came to Syria even before the advent of Islam, if we want to talk that way. In Syria can Chahidi one street, a synagogue and a mosque and a church - and this does not bother me as a Muslim - and this is Syria - this is beautiful - but when it comes on the outside of Syria says it wants to protect a party what is the fate of the rest? Syria is all of these spectra, and we want to preserve the fabric of the Syrian that no one has the right to intervene in these arguments, including Turkey - because this is a big mistake. Syrian people revolted against these things during the Turkish Empire at the beginning of the last century and will not accept the Syrian people this again - so neither Turkey nor the other has a right of intervention in the internal affairs of Syria, because it resulted in tragedy for Turkey, the region and the whole world.

Not only by Turkey - Syrian TV Show confessions of terrorists arrested and confessed they had received support from Saudi Arabia and Jordan - What is the interest of both countries in that?

This is a big mistake, certainly do not want to accept that and I'd like to talk about a very sensitive issue, but the funding of terrorism - we do not want to say that the government of Saudi Arabia or Jordan or Lebanon or Turkey are financed terrorist groups, but we believe that a money come from these countries - unofficial sources - and so we ask our brothers and sisters in these countries do not allow it - because, according to the laws of the United Nations called the funding of terrorism - they are sending money to kill the Syrians, and we believe that this matter must be stopped.

Clashes are still continuing and ongoing protests - What is your reading of the future of Syria? What will happen?

Protests diminished - if you look today, to Syria, there are demonstrations in support now - in Damascus emerged million demonstrators and some say two and a half - and in Hasaka near the Turkish border, demonstrated more than a million supporters - they have declared their support for Syria, peace and reform in Syria and would stand against terrorism and interference in Syrian affairs - but yes, there are still some clashes between terrorist groups and security forces - and we hope that this will stop soon because it killed one Syrian and one is sad for us.

But you may ask what is the solution? The solution is to reform instead of destroying our country and to allow foreign interference - gave the president a lion reform program integrated representative legislation for multi-party system in accordance with the Constitution - and before I came here to offer 15 parties the papers of the founding of new parties - there is legislation for the freedom of the press and we hope to open a new page in the field of media as is the case here in Russia or the United States and other countries - there is a new law on local administration and the candidates began to register and we hope to begin the general election for municipal councils in the twelfth of December - and fourthly we have the election law which will be subject to the control of the legislative, without any biases - and another reforms is a matter of the Constitution - has been the formation of a new committee to prepare for a new constitution for Syria and then parliamentary elections will be held in February of next year - after all, do we really need to kill each other if it comes down with independent Syria? It's expired and reforms are implemented - instead of killing civilians and the military and security men by that of the gangs - and the polls are determined by the judge of Syria - and as I said repeatedly that President Assad is less presidents who are interested in political office - but he will not give up the leadership of Syria peacefully to the reforms - so we will have that Syria and the future of a democratic multi-party system and freedom of the media. This is the future that we look forward to in Syria.

He added: "The cost of banknotes printed in house and which had not been delivered to Syria because of the sanctions the European outbound equivalent to 7.5 million Euros which the Central Bank of Syria has not paid even one euro so far, and one which is a cost to the Printing House of Austria, in addition to the values of guarantees arising of 7.5 million euros as well, ie, there are two costly errors on the responsibility of Printing House Austrian € 15 million which the Central Bank of Syria did not pay of something, and if we assume validity of their claim to pay bribes worth 14 million euros, the total incurred Printing House Austria to meet with the implementation of contracts for printing house stock Syrian monetary equivalent of 29 million euros of any amount paid by the Central Bank of Syria to meet with the implementation of the Dar-mentioned printing contracts, if the gain achieved by the printing house of the Austrian payment of this commission fiction, is it possible that ?!!".

DAMASCUS, Nov.1 (Xinhua) -- Syria wrapped up a national economic dialogue Tuesday, with hundreds of representatives offering a number of suggestions to solve problems and push forward reforms in the country's economy.

The three-day National Forum for Economic Dialogue, which was attended by some 300 figures representing all spectra of the Syrian society, came up with suggestions such as fighting the rampant corruption in some state departments and developing industrial and agricultural projects to generate job opportunities.

"The most important thing about this dialogue is that it was democratic... All thoughts were discussed freely and we have addressed some issues that we didn't address before," Riyad Al Dawoudi, chairman of the State Planning Commission, said at the closing session.

The dialogue, kicked off Sunday in Syria's capital of Damascus, aimed to enhance discussions on national issues on the basis of partnership and collective responsibility and to crystallize a common vision for economic and social reforms.

"The social safety nets in Syria should be activated and motivated in order to deal with different issues such as unemployment and aging-related matters," Dawoudi said.

Speaking at the opening session of the dialogue on Sunday, Syrian Prime Minister Adel Safar said the government was determined to go on with reforms, but warned against the danger of foreign challenges aiming at "undermining (Syrian) economic bases."

The economic reform, as an integral part of the country's overall process of reforms, is "a genuine response to the national demands and internal requirements to achieve a solid and diversified economy capable of competing, ensuring new jobs, and increasing living conditions," Safar said.

The prime minister said that Syria has been gradually transforming towards social market economy in the framework of the partnership concept between the public and private sectors.

The government tends to liberate the economy from all burdens and shackles, Safar said, acknowledging that the process of reforms faces "legal, administrative and social difficulties."

He, however, stressed that the government is determined to handle and has almost overcome all difficulties.

"The biggest danger the process of reforms is facing is the foreign challenges," he said, noting that the current unrest in Syria is dramatically eroding the government's efforts for reforms.

The nearly seven months of crisis in Syria has brought life to a standstill as revenue from tourism, worker remittance and foreign investment plunged sharply since the beginning of unrest.

Syrian government has faced mounting international pressure, including economic sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union, for its response to protesters.
