Armed Terrorist Groups Attack Ambulances and Medical Crews in Homs; Confession for cases in Dair al-Zour

HOMS, (SANA) – Armed terrorist groups on Sunday attacked ambulances and assaulted medical crews in Homs to prevent them from transporting injured people.

Ambulance driver Raafat Mousa told the Syrian TV that while he was transporting injured people from Bab Amro area along with Chief Warrant Officer Mahmoud Qmeiro, they came under heavy gunfire from armed terrorist groups, martyring Qmeiro.

In turn, ambulance driver Ahed Nemra said that while carrying out his duties, gunmen opened fire on his ambulance before reaching the Health Directorate traffic light, adding that the attackers were in a Kia Rio that had been pursuing them since they were in al-Qusour area.

500 Gunmen Attack Police Station in Khasham Town, Criminal Confesses

Terrorist Badri Khedr al-Hassoun confessed to attacking the police station of Khasham Town in the Eastern Province of Deir-Ezzor along with a big gang, stealing weapons and money and attacking police members.

Hassoun, who has a criminal record, said in the confession broadcast by the Syrian TV Channel on Sunday that he, along with 500 gunmen gathered in front of the police station, as they could seize weapons and steal a sum of money.

"We also attacked three police members, took their weapons and ammunition and then we destroyed the building," the criminal added.

Lebanese Sources: Arrested Smuggler Confessed to Transporting Weapons to Armed Groups in Syria (arrested a Syrian)

BEIRUT, (SANA) – Lebanese security sources said that during the interrogation of a smuggler arrested by the Lebanese authorities, the man confessed to smuggling weapons and ammo to Syria to be delivered to armed groups, pointing out that the man named partners involved in these operations and his associates are currently known to the Lebanese authorities and judiciary.

In an article An article published on Monday, Lebanon's al-Safir newspaper reported that based on the information available to the Lebanese authority, the man worked between Lebanon and a country in the Arab Gulf, gathering funds and purchasing weapons and ammo then smuggling them into Syria through illegal crossing points on the borders with the help of Lebanese and Syrian associates.

Another source from the Lebanese General Directorate of Public Security said that the arrested man, Ammar Omar al-Adib, was caught red-handed and confessed to the charges against him.

In a statement, the Lebanese Army's General Staff affirmed that it's coordinating with the Syrian side whenever the need arises in accordance with agreements between the two countries to resolve any security issue on their borders.

The General Staff said that its units act instantly and carry out its missions thoroughly to control borders and prevent smuggling and the sneaking of gunmen.


Authorities Confiscate Narcotic Pills Shipment Concealed in Industrial Equipment Bound for Arab Country

TARTOUS, (SANA) – The authorities in Tartous on Monday confiscated a large shipment of narcotic pills concealed in marble-cutting equipment on board a truck in Tartous city, foiling the attempt to export it to an Arab country.

Director of Tartous Customs, Lt. Gen. Louay al-Nabelsi, said that the truck came from Homs to receive customs clearance from Tartous harbor in order to head to the Jordanian borders and from them to an Arab country.

DAMASCUS, (SANA)_Hikmat Nazir al-Hajji, a terrorist who took part in Jisr al-Shughour massacres, related the details of the killings, mutilation of bodies, sabotage acts and arms' smuggling he committed with the armed terrorist groups.

He said that they set up barricades on Aleppo-Lattakia road, stole SYP 150 thousand from a car coming from Aleppo, stormed into the police station and seized the weapons.

He said they received SYP 800 thousand from a Saudi via Turkey.

He said that money was coming from Saudi Arabia via Turkey, adding that Mahmoud Khabbaza was giving them lessons at his house in which he declared the other sects as infidels.
