BEIRUT, SANA_ Lebanese security apparatus arrested a member of the network being pursued on charges of smuggling weapons into Syria, while trying to leave Lebanon through Beirut International Airport.

Al-Safir newspaper reported Monday that the arrested person is the assistant to Ammar al-Adeeb, who was arrested earlier for smuggling weapons and ammunition into Syria to be handed to the armed groups there. Al-Adeeb confessed the names of his partners involved.

One of the detainees from the network members was holding a weapons order to the Syrian territories financed by Syrian opposition parties in one of the Gulf countries.

The order includes amounts of TNT explosives, RPG launchers and M-16 machine guns.
